Re: ARM binary disassembler ??

Here is a link to someones page of collected resources that I have bookmarked for learning more about bare metal and ASM arm programming. http://asm.thi.ng/ this sub link is a good place to start http://www.coranac.com/tonc/text/asm.htm This one looks promising too. https://community.arm.com/process...

Re: ARM binary disassembler ??

I use https://www.onlinedisassembler.com/static/home/ to check the output of my 68K disassembler written in postscript. It is also useful for checking small snippets of machine code. Hex rays Ida pro is probably the most complete. I have used the intel 386 & family demo version. The Arm core may...

Re: Still struggling with Eclipse, New issue on Page2, please help

If symbols cannot be resolved, Eclipse should not build at all... I remember, after I wrote the wiki entry how to setup Eclipse for Arduino_STM32, I had serious issues with Eclipse (just like yours, and also more severe...), that's why I finally abandoned using it... I don't know whether it is the ...

Re: Arduino STM32 versions, STM32 IO with Arduino

... Where can I find information on how the Arduino STM32 environment works with STM32 hardware. Why are there 2 versions. There are a number of STM32Aruino versions that come from two major branches. You find out about how the environments work by using your favorite search engine to read blogs an...

Re: Still struggling with Eclipse, New issue on Page2, please help

I was going to suggest looking at the *.map file The *.map file is sometimes called the symbol table. This is a text file of the locations of the functions and variables in a somewhat human readable format. It is created with the compiler options flags. Some IDE's have options to generate it. There ...

Re: PHPBB hosting issues and problems at HostGator

I use Dreamhost (which is based in the US)

Just renewed my blogs on that hosting site for another 2 years. Last time I updated them was in 2012. Got tired of upgrading wordpress every time I logged in to post something.

Re: Cubemx -> Makefile utility

I just pushed my makefile script to github https://github.com/sheepdoll/XSTMScrips.git The script is written in the PostScript language and optimized for running through the Ghostscript interpreter. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghostscript for more info https://www.ghostscript.com/ for the communit...

Re: Official announcement on ST.com

Still no direct support for the STM32F4. As I and others noted in the architecture thread, Using Cube and HAL seems to work better with a debugging IDE such as eclipse. One can still use the Arduino libraries, with more selectivity as to what gets built and compiled. I do think, for the arduino IDE,...

Re: STM32DUINO - Architecture questions

just to add that regarding 3 4 and 5, a search in the forums and the Wiki and you will find posts of some people is using Eclipse, you may want to try it. I believe there are posts on using Visual Micro too. I have sort of moved more over to Eclipse myself, I wrote a script that can take the output...
