Hey this is pretty cool.

I messed about with a time limited version of IDA to decompile some ECU code, it was really good but obviously time limited and expensive.

Re: In car multigauge

Interesting project.... I have similar goals on my '94 Dodge (Cummins) diesel.. non OBD2 compliant vehicle. I've come across a number of the same issues you have been having, and because of eternal scope creep (don't we all know about that), I've found some decent solutions to it all... I too was g...

Re: In car multigauge

To just expand on my post above, each slave would be identical, with a library of charts or graphs, customizable by the master, to display a value sent by the master. So the master can simply tell a slave to render a particular graph, with titles, and range, and refresh periodically with a data ite...

Re: Andy's Postbag and random ebay links

Actually I messed up in my calc on the upper frequency, wheel rev frequency would be double what I said (wheels turn as ratio of engine RPM and not a multiple of cylinders firing per second). I'll leave it up to the readers to carry out a statistical analysis of average tyre block count - 50 was a w...

Re: Andy's Postbag and random ebay links

Hmm, intresting problem.... Most cars will be be keeping revs between 2000 & 3000 at normal running speeds. 4 stroke engine means 2 of the 4 cylinders are firing per revolution, so that means anywhere between 80hz or 100hz when moving from rpm to fires per second. Gearbox will probably be in 4th or ...

Re: STM32GENERIC, my arduino implementation

Have you uploaded a sketch via st-link? SerialUSB won't work until after that.
