Re: [STM32GENERIC] F746 Discovery

I think the variable in the normal Arduino EthernetUdp is set to

#define UDP_TX_PACKET_MAX_SIZE 24

and on a Arduino Uno with its 2K-Ram it can probably not be any longer.

Re: [STM32GENERIC] F746 Discovery

I am having trouble downloading large files. After a few KB it just stops. Dowload with ethernet? During my experiments with UDP today I realized that the system crashes when the PC sends a UDP packet larger than 24bytes. I didn't expect that there is such a small UDP payload buffer in the driver. ...

Re: [STM32GENERIC] F746 Discovery

Here I've made a transmission over the ethernt for pictures by UDP . My hope was to achieve something close to "video speed" but than I realized that the Arduino-UDP only supports packet lengths up to 24 bytes. This results more like a speed like in the teletype-era. I've put the picture in the ethe...

Re: STM32 Ethernet experimental applications

I've made a ethernet picture frame out of the STM32F7 disco. The pictures can be transmitted by a java-udp-sender program and they are displayed on the STM32F7 disovery. The Moire-effect in the picture is somehow coming due to my camera. In reality the picture is much better. https://raw.githubuserc...

Re: [STM32GENERIC] F746 Discovery

Here I adapted the NTP-time-client.
Now your can see the UTC-internet time on the TFT.

Re: [STM32GENERIC] F746 Discovery

Here is a new version of poling the stm32duino users. Let's call it a "ethernet" test: // Example for the onboard ethernet connector // // Install https://github.com/stm32duino/LwIP // and https://github.com/stm32duino/STM32Ethernet // // If they are empty, install the work in progress versions usin...

Re: Forum cluttered with posts about non existent problems...

Believe me that I spent many hours trying to read everything there is about the F4. But it's extremely hard to understand why some info is posted somewhere if you are not an experienced programmer. That was also my experience even for an experienced programmer like me. The problem is that the peopl...

Re: STM32F103 BPSK

Yes I think it's right. But on mine I don't have the 2 transistors! I think Q1 is only for threshold level adaption which is probably not really necessary and Q2 is for power saving which they removed to save costs. The interesting point is the MAX232 RS232 driver which they misuse as sender driver.

Re: [STM32GENERIC] F746 Discovery

I just realized the tft buffer malloc should be * 2, because 1 pixel is 2 bytes. Thanks. I have corrected all TFT-examples . But the code actually sometimes works (prints users online to display), sometimes fails to client.connect("www.stm32duino.com", 80) I'm not sure if this is a matter how fast ...

Re: Forum cluttered with posts about non existent problems...

I have a little different sight about that. When I started with the STM32 here I stumbled in a lot of problems because many things are not working in the same way and the STM32 Arduino implementations often have some errors. I avoided to use the professional STM32 development tools because I worked ...
