Re: Use STM32F103C8 with TFT 320QVT 9341

why am i seeing echos around here ? yesterday or day before it was software serial and hardware serial questions... ... ... please just open a new topic in a relevant forum and not post to any threads mentioning something or other about your issue. have you tried a search, maybe for 'qvt' gives this...

Re: Need advice: Metal detector with stm32f103

you've beaten me to it, so looks like standard 4bit setup you've disturbed pin 3 in some way. what is it wired to, normally its a pot, i suspect you've got it going to a pin for maybe pwm ?? 5 black blocks and the rest blanks has to be incorrect contrast voltage change your test for the display to w...

Re: Combined bootloader and sketch

is this an example for cat ? if foo.hex and bar.hex are generated from sketches surely the addresses involved will clash and then as i don't know the result of flashing it, is indeterminate (for me)

Re: Need advice: Metal detector with stm32f103

how did you program it originally ?
have you a link to it as a project ?

testing the display, literally just the lcd transplanted to a nano already wired for the display?

black blocks and blanks to me suggests the contrast control, did you use a pot ?

Re: Need advice: Metal detector with stm32f103

any signs of leakage? battery flat ? what doesn't work, the whole thing, the stm32 or the display(not clear if its that you tested with the nano) ? does blink work ? maybe you left a blink the led function in the code ? ok you can't see it, but its only a few mA's. to the tone generator for the next...

Re: Getting started with the STM32 microcontroller - STM32F103C8T6 via Arduino

agreed, nice looking video, it does illustrate brilliantly why i like stlink, even ignoring its potential for debug, 'move top link' sequence as a dance step, quick, quick, slow :( look at his 'why am i switching to atmel studio' video. form your own opinion. how long did people here take to rapidly...

Re: STEP GPS LOGGER, GPS CLOCK, Bicycle computer and more

using multiple satellite 'systems' in a gps is definitely going push the price up, determining the best guess solution would also add another markup :)

Re: STEP GPS LOGGER and more

i put 'military gps resolution' into google, first is The United States government currently claims 4 meter RMS (7.8 meter 95% Confidence Interval) horizontal accuracy for civilian (SPS) GPS. Vertical accuracy is worse. Mind you, that's the minimum. Some devices/locations reliably (95% of the time o...

Re: Using USART1 PA11 and PA12

PA9 TX
PA10 RX
datasheet has the pinouts, also most schematics
try searching forum for USART1 or Serial1
i use PA9/PA10, also PA2/PA3 with almost "by default" regularity
with a #define mySerial Serialx line, you can just use mySerial consistently and change with one edit and moving 2 wires.

Re: Forum has been updated to PHPBB 3.2

rather infrequently, i'll get a timeout or a not valid message when i press submit.
i put it down to the time i take composing a post, second is usually someone beating me to reply.
if i suspect i'll get it i do a ctl-A ctl-C and repeat the post.

a missing post, it's a big maybe 1 perhaps 2
