Re: Blue Pill Co-Processor for Retro Computer

Greetings @sheepdoll. Enjoyed your reminisce about where we all started with digital magic. You have an impressive resume. The perf boards are Radio Shack remnants -- I used what was in the junk box. Do remember those blue Vector boards though and all the little pins to attach and prop up wiring. My...

Blue Pill Co-Processor for Retro Computer

Greetings, My latest project: Using a Blue Pill as co-processor for a HD63C09 retro computer. Notice the STM32F103 in the corner -- it is loosely connected to the '09 system and is the host's file server. Using the SD library and timers to implement basic multi-tasking peripheral functions. I've foo...

Re: JAB - Just Another Barometer

Ray, SD card for data logging would be ideal as weather data becomes more interesting when longer-term trends can be established. The SD library for STM32 seem to work OK. I played a bit with interfacing this Blue Pill to my Beaglebone Black running a MQTT server. The BBB is bridged to a remote MQTT...

Re: JAB - Just Another Barometer

Cute project Ray. Noticed today our pressure is 29.84 in/Hg, also have a headache but suspect its allergy season. Wonder what sensor do you use? My project uses a BMP180 sensor and the pressure display is similar to our Honeywell weather station display; at 0, -1, -2, -3, -6, -12, -18, -24 Hrs. Also...

Re: Does the RF24 library (from TMRh20) work on STM32F103?

@madias --- I had good luck with the TMRh20 library (with few changes) using a Blue Pill module.
Attached a working example as used with my home sensor network.
Hope it helps.

Regards.

Re: (SOLVED) CH-340 USB to Serial Download issue

As pointed out by @mrburnette, drivers can be downloaded from the manufacturer's site: http://www.wch.cn/download/CH341SER_EXE.html Details are in Chinese. The Linux package contains driver source code (.cpp) and a Makefile. Being Linux, one need to build a loadable module that will work with your s...

Re: CH-340 USB to Serial Download issue

Thanks for the suggestions. Incidentally, the board as described by @Madias in this post: http://www.stm32duino.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=490 I need almost all those extra I/O pins for my project, more than the low-end Leaf clones offer. 1) I tried the "push reset" trick before download (am familiar ...

(SOLVED) CH-340 USB to Serial Download issue

Geetings, UPDATE: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It appears to be Linux driver issue. Serial download worked fine on my XP box, but failed on Linux. There is discussion about these CH340-based Chinese Arduino boards having similar issue. The solution...

Re: Blue Pill Weather Station Display

Hi, @zmemw16 TFT display was listed as using ST7735S. Not sure what the "S" entails. //Libraries used: #include <Adafruit_GFX_AS.h> // Ensure core graphics comes from STM32Duino F1 libraries #include <Adafruit_ST7735.h> // As per Arduino 1.6.5 libraries //Landscape mode preferred. This is how it was...
