Re: CORDIC - sin cos for graphics etc.

Depending on precision needed the following sequence could do: 1,2,2,3,2,2,1,-1,-2,-2,-3,-2,-2,-1. I used it once in a SW modem on PIC.

Re: Signal Generator Using DDS

Si5351 is a nice little module (I have the Adafruit ones, very useful as LO in various places since mixers likes square waves. I've just played a bit with them, this time I just wanted to test that I2C worked on my blue pill. To use as a multiband HF CW transmitter (I've built one of those as well w...

Understood and also agreeing with you Roger. It's easy enough to add menu options for advanced users instead of making it cluttered for new and intermediate users.

Re: Signal Generator Using DDS

PHSNA.exe downloaded from the Yahoo group. It does its job but can be improved a lot.

Re: Etherkit Si5351 example gets huge

I replaced the two "new statements" with stack allocation as well as removed the corresponding deletes and ended up with the following sizes: ST Link 19 716 Serial 14 316 Bootloader: 19 732 BMP: 14,300 much more reasonable in comparison with Daniels 18 868 bytes. And the example works too :-) Thanks...

Re: Etherkit Si5351 example gets huge

I never thought anyone used new in embedded code, I'm proven wrong. I'll certainly give it a try but it does not explain why the code in the link I provided is 18kB.

Re: Etherkit Si5351 example gets huge

Ok, so upgrading from 1.6.9 won't solve this. Could downgrading be an option in order to see if and when it was introduced? Any particular versions to recommend?

Re: Download options and limitations

Adding another download method for St Link + UART Serial was easy :-)

Well onto USB, first step is to get Windows to recognize the device.

Re: Download options and limitations

3-4 Dupont wires here too, and switching from PA15 to PB5 solved it. The LCD is now working as expected.

So now I'll see if can get USB download and Serial working to see if that feels more convenient.

Re: Download options and limitations

Hmm, could it be PA15. I try using another pin instead. Thanks, picture saved for future reference.

I actually looked on the schematics for pins to avoid, I initially also used PA11 and 12.
