What about debugging? Can the stlink be used? i assume its not by the normal serial print?
OK, I understood that as "normal" debugging, and not debugging with serial print via STLink.
Yes, STLink can be used for debugging, but not sending serial printouts over STLink.

Re: 16 BIT HX8357C

One more thing you could still try is to change this line to "#if 1" - thus enable slow control signalling.
The serial output is not relevant yet, but the display should show something.

Re: adafruit_ILI9341_STM for SPI2

What if you use other pins as control pins? Have you tried?

Re: What can & can't it do?

The features supported so far by Arduino_STM32 for F4 are described here: http://stm32duino.com/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=1976.
If you need more, either develop it yourself and contribute to the community, or switch to the alternative cores stm32duino or generic.

@Nutsy, for uploading and/or debuggin you don't necessarily need BMP, it is fine if you have an STLink probe.
You connect that to JTAG header (between SD and USB) pins TMS(PA13)=SWDIO, TCK(PA14)=SWCLK, GND and 3.3V(Vref). That's all.

Re: 16 BIT HX8357C

There is no way around making short on R4 for PB2, because it is originally used as BOOT1 pin via R4 (100k) which should be removed.

Do you use the graphicstest example?
You have to change line 26 to:

Code: Select all

identifier = 0x8357;
to activate the correct ID. Then check display again.

Re: 16 BIT HX8357C

Using the latest Arduino_STM32 core from Roger you don't need to mess up with debug ports. BUT You use PB2 as data pin. For this, you have to shorten (or replace) R4 (on back side of blue pill) with a wire. I have tested the graphicstest example, it should work for you, too. Which value do you get b...

So to follow up with the post steve is there other way aside from you mentioned above , I have Hx_3857 tft lcd using stm32f103 , core from roger your library looks work to me because the serial outputs . Hoping you can help me HX8357D should be supported. What have you tried and what is your proble...

Re: [libmaple] Generic F407VE mini (vcc-gnd version)

Sorry, it seems that something went wrong by my previous commit, although I have tested it before.
Could you try this version: https://github.com/stevstrong/Arduino_S ... 8d427d03f2
Meanwhile I will check to see what is wrong there.

Re: Need Help/assistance with VS1003 library

Try to comment out that line, it does not seem to have any functionality.

Btw, the SPI library evolved a lot since mid 2015.
Maybe you should send a PM to Vassilis, he implemented that library, he could give you support.
