Re: Racemaniac's postbag

Pff... 20-years resistors - so young ones :D I have somewhere in a "long term storage" some pack of the resistors with flat strip wires from 60...70's, which my father used in a "warm vacuum tube" amplifiers. :D So. If we are talk about resistors, some words about potentiometers. I'm now converting ...

... I just looked and one, and its either Brown, Brown, Black, Black, Red Or Red, Black, Black, Brown Brown ... I never saw 2% resistors. Very much rare thing. :) Umm... Saw, but it were very special resistors with hand-written marking... Therefore, with high probability, it is possible to assume t...

... The other thing is that the LCD works with faster toggling if the LCD is disassembled so that the flexible cable is straight (not bent). Anyone an idea why? Maybe the flex cable has a several damage, therefore some lines has a high resistance when cable is bent and with the pin capacity forms s...

Re: ST-link clone by baite

There is nothing difficult to make DIY "special cable", anyway...
Well it is a question of personal preferences that it is better to spend: time or money.
And I don't know that it is more important for a hobby, honestly. :D

...I'm not sure why you need a special cable, unless you like labels Its far cheaper to buy this, and you get loads more spare for other things... The dupont wires is tend to use for other things and after that it's hard to remember wich pin for what :) There is a probability that the special cable...

Re: Recommendations for piezo buzzer??

Be careful when solder the central electrode. Silver film is very thin and trying to disolve in liquid solder. I prefer don't solder it (if mount on PCB), but use the spring wire contact from RJ-45 or so on.
