Re: F405 & F411 versions of the BluePill

i'm also in favor of something else than just a forum thread.
it's really hard to be discussing multiple things like this >_<.

Re: Making your own pcb's.

I think i already mentioned it here, but for stencils i bought a silhouette portrait cutter, and it's amazing :). i cut stencils from overhead slides, and it has no problem going down to 0.4mm pitch pins, and creates great stencils :). the machine only costed 150€ new, and i use it with a free pytho...

Re: F405 & F411 versions of the BluePill

Missing libs ?? Same here... they use a FDN340P if that helps Nice, but FDN304P is better @mosfet: the one i chose is slightly worse in specs (bit higher on resistance), but also a bit smaller And where to buy?? 2y ago I ordered a couple of IRLML6402, they do work outstanding for me, cheap and wide...

Re: F405 & F411 versions of the BluePill

what i am wondering though is on github or so how we'll handle the pcb project, unlike code it's something that doesn't lend itself to easy merging ^^'
or will i keep doing all the changes to the pcb?

Re: F405 & F411 versions of the BluePill

Here is the latest version
the schema is already updated with the extra USB things, but the pcb isn't (and the connection between vbus an PA9 hasn't been made yet in the schema).
the new parts haven't been annotated yet/footprint selected (the selected mosfet is sot223)

Re: F405 & F411 versions of the BluePill

Would the schematic of the usb then be like this? yep pretty much - i'd strongly suggest losing the 1.5k resistor as it's not in the reference schematic / appendix of the datasheet. in fact.... if you look at page 128 of DocID022152, en.DM00037051.pdf, you'll see that in Table 58 there's *already* ...

Re: F405 & F411 versions of the BluePill

Would the schematic of the usb then be like this? usb.png if i'm following correctly: - a p-channel mosfet to bring power from the USB VBUS to the main 5V (picked the one seen in the schematic as it's small, p-channel, and can handle enough current, and has very low VGS, and can be found on aliexpre...

Re: F405 & F411 versions of the BluePill

Victor, I had the same thought about the 1k resistor not being between the MCU and the PCB though hole pin, but being next to the USB connector. I did not comsider that it this is an unterminated stub. But would still be an unterminated stub, even if it didnt have the resistor In real world use, PA...

Re: F405 & F411 versions of the BluePill

again, i repeat: you don't know the consequences on people's designs of forcing them to have a 10k resistor in series with that pin. some shields may simply... fail to work properly because the supplied current is insufficient to drive the 10k resistor high/low/whatever. if they use it as an analog...
