Re: TEK 4010/4014 Vector Graphics terminal DEMO

BTW. I took a look for vector asteroids code

I can't find a definitive source but there is some interesting code in this blog

Another thought...

Is there a python based TEK emulator?

Re: TEK 4010/4014 Vector Graphics terminal DEMO

Thanks for the info.

I recall some early video games that also used vector displays.

Perhaps we can have Asteriods ;-)

Re: Issues with RTC timings and prescalers

Dodgy soldering is often a problem with these boards.

Someone posted that the main crystal did not work.

Often the USB connections need to be resoldered.

Perhaps you can try carefully resoldering the LF crystal

Danny's

My jlink v8 clones seem to have a habit if bricking themselves.. but I assumed that somehow the PC driver was deliberately bricking them.

Re: TEK 4010/4014 Vector Graphics terminal DEMO

Thanks Pito

Can you tell me where it needs scientific notation text strings?

Is this for the coordinates or purely for visual text?

Also...
I think you said it does not do fills ??

Is this because the original hardware was a vectior display?

Interesting topIc about optimisations

Perhaps we can add that pragma to the files that need -O2 optimisation, so that it would run ok without changing platform.txt

Re: PR to add optimisation menu (to all boards individually)

#pragma GCC optimize looks really interesting We already have at least one example that needs -O2 , which at the moment requires changes to platform.txt The proem with the menu system, is that if someone opened the "Ov7670 live" demo which needs -O2 it would not automatically select -O2, but the pra...

@pito

We could write some code to turn a scientific notation numbers into a string before sending to serial.print

Re: Protecting Bootloader from being Corrupted

Rogerclark, Thanks for the explanation and I'll try to reset the board next time it happens. Just curious, why does the timing matter that I need to press reset "just before the IDE is about to upload"? As you have a sketch in flash (even though it crashes), the bootloader checks to see if there is...
