Re: Can upload with bootloader but no COM ports afterwards

Ah

I just noticed you are on OSX

Ummm

There are quite a few issues on OSX

Its possible its not noticing the change form it being a DFU to a USB CDCACM (Serial) device

What Mac and version of OSX are you using, is the usb cable plugged directly into the mac (ie. not via a hub or the keyboard...)

Re: Can upload with bootloader but no COM ports afterwards

The AddMini... branch is totally out of date.
If you want midi there is now a separate library for that etc

I think there is some other problem, but that the old branch you are using somehow seems to work (no idea why)

Re: HDC1080 and MS5611 sensors

I am not sure the USB scanner is a reliable indicator of whether a device is present on the bus. Even with software I2C I had problems with some devices. I would write some test code that reads from the ID register on that device ( or the status register etc) and use a logic analyser to look at the ...

Re: HDC1080 and MS5611 sensors

Wow

Looks a cool analyser.

In similar circumstances I solder some tiny wire to the PCB in order to attach the logic analyser. I normally use "wire wrap" wire but if thats too thick I resort to very thin enameled copper wire

Re: HDC1080 and MS5611 sensors

Hardware is fixed to using specific pins

Software is defaulted to use the same pins but can use any pins

You can't use them both at the same time on the same pins.

Re: HDC1080 and MS5611 sensors

If you don't already have one. Those $10 8 channel logic analysers is almost essential for doing any thing like this, then you can look at the bus timing in detail Search for "logic analyzer 24Mhz 8 channel" on your favorite online shopping site You could potentially try the official STM Arduino cor...

Re: HDC1080 and MS5611 sensors

I'd try a lower pullup.

e.g. 2.2k

Re: AC Dimmer

Roger, your project interests me. My brother has a solar powered water pump system, and often the pump can handle more water than the well can supply. He and I have put it on a timed system, which is working for now, but we would like to detect when it starts pumping air, or even better, when it ge...

Re: HDC1080 and MS5611 sensors

Is the issue the I2C Scanner does not work now, or that this device does not work with Hardware I2C ?? I can't remember what speed the Hardware I2C is set to by default. I'd hope it was 100Khz but it may have been defaulted to 400KHz which may be too fast for this device Also, what value pullups are...
