Re: aerospace engineer

Hi Arthur Sounds like an interesting project. I just wonder why you need such a powerful mcu for what appears a simple task. How are you measuring altitude ? I presume its barometric pressure? I know the Bosch sensors like the BMP280 are good at measuring changes in barometric pressure in a domestic...

Re: Complete dashboard for an old car

Thanks for posting.

There are 4 or 5 people on the forum who are building car displays.

At least one other person was trying to use a Nexion display, but I think the also has problems with it:-(

Re: Hello

I think there is a niche for the STM32F103 as a good value workhorse, but there are soooo many other MUCs available nowadays. I doubt I will do anything constructive with them beyond (hopefully) getting them to work. I have done a fair few projects and have found the Arduino Nano is almost always c...

PR to remove compile warnings buy adding __attribute__((unused))

This PR https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/Arduino_STM32/pull/380 Changes a lot of files and adds __attribute__((unused)) to functions, where the compiler was giving warnings for unused Looking at some of these, I think there are underlying bugs which the compiler is reporting, and rather than m...

Well, that about sums up the kite from KMart. I thought I was getting a deal at $9 AUD ($6 USD) but I was wrong. Edit. Ray you changed the picture .... BTW. I used to do a lot of kite flying as a kid, and we had one of these RAF rescue kites from military surplus https://www.google.com/search?tbm=is...

Well, for me the "holidays" (Christmas) are an excuse to try out some addressable pixel strands I bought earlier in the year ;-)

Re: Decoding the Gameboy LCD output.

Re: ESP32 You'd have to use WiFi. BLE is far too slow, its not designed for streaming data, and BLE support on Windows is very weak, and only available in a basic form since Windows 8 (or possibly 8.1) Actually ESP32 also supports "Classic Bluetooth" but thats an even more complicated can of worms, ...

Hi Martyn I think there is a niche for the STM32F103 as a good value workhorse, but there are soooo many other MUCs available nowadays. I have not had time to do much with my nRF51 or nRF52 boards recently, as having to write code for Android using Cordova etc, to receive the BLE data is time consum...
