Re: USB Observations

I added the code to call USB Serial.Begin() without realising that there could be potential problems because of the whole init process, but strangely it does work, and the USB seeial is initialised OK. The singleton method relies on a static property in the class, but as all we need to record is whe...

Re: USB Observations

I guess its worth a try declaring the flag as volatile, but I can't see how that would fix it. The USB code change to volatile is probably needed because its changed in an interrupt, but I'm not sure if the initialisation code is via an interrupt. The F1 only has 1 USB interface, so the variable cou...

Re: Partial / old code for a F4 Maple bootloader

I did some research on this today, and tried to register (using a temporary email address) with the site that had the F4 libmaple bootloader, but the site appears to be broken, so I don't think there is much hope of getting that code. I also found a bootloader for a PX4 flight controller board, whic...

Re: Interesting video for linux users about GDB Text User Interface

I think @vassilis uses Atollic TrueStudio to compile the Arduino code, and that supports debugging, and has a free version.

Re: Andy's Postbag and random ebay links

I'm not sure how it can be mixing the TX with the RX signal. There is only 1 transistor, hence only one SHF oscillator. If it has 2 transistors I could see how it could be transmitting on one and receiving + mixing on the other, but with only 1 transistor I can't see how I can do that. I'm not sure ...

Re: Andy's Postbag and random ebay links

Just a thought... But but after reading some other blogs etc about these devices, I suspect they are not operating in a way that could be made directional. There is just one transistor that appears to operate as TX, and RX+mixer. So it seems far more likely that its only operating as an oscillator, ...

Re: assembly output

%APPDATA% gets you to your appdata folder on windows

Depending on your version of the Arduino IDE, its either in appdata local or appdata roaming.

I think you can use %APPDATA%\local\arduino15\ .....etc...etc. on the newer versions of Arduino

Re: ARMduino - a generic implementation of Arduino on ARM Cortex-M chips

BTW. Several other people and already use the name ARMduino https://www.google.com.au/search?q=armduino I dont think its trademarked, but it is rather confusinb if you search for that term PS. i also moved it to Cores PPS. As well as @danieleff's STMGeneric core, and STMs own Cores, there is Koduino...

Re: Interesting video for linux users about GDB Text User Interface

Netbeans sounds interesting, but sounds like a massive install, just as a graphical front end for GDB. I did also look at a commercial GDB front-end :D for Windows ( I did post about it, but the name of the product now alludes me.But it was over $100 and didnt seems to work that well.) So GDB on the...

Re: Interesting video for linux users about GDB Text User Interface

I gave up trying to ask the eclipse team to fix issues in the standalone debugger for windows. So i have not looked at it for ages. I guess there is a chance it works now, but I got the feeling no one was working on it. Re:GDB The Text GUI was something I had not seen before. i.e half way between th...
