Re: Building a low cost OBC nanosatellite

Welcome The STM32 boards like the BluePill are very cheap, but whether they would withstand the hash enviroment of space is a different matter. I presume there must be forums for people interested in buildimg nano satellites, so I recommend you post to one of those sites to see what sort of hardware...

Re: Greetings

Welcome... For the F4 boards, you need to look at the Cores written by DanielEf ( STM32GENERIC) and by STM themselves. There is a F4 Core in my repo, but it does not have all the features of the 2 new Cores i just mentioned, and I don't personally actively support it. But @stevestrong and @victor_pv...

Re: Greetings from the Pacific Northwest (USA)

Welcome Scott, Buying STM32 boards is going ti be a lot cheaper than a Camaro ;-) I am not sure what sort of LED projects you are thinking of, but there are a few different libraries to drive addressable LED strips aka NeoPixels, includig one I wrote, however I dont think any of them are perfect. An...

Re: Greetings from the Sandwich MA Stem Academy, on the Cape Cod Canal

Hi

Its nice to know things are being used in an educational context.

I know one of the early members was using the Blue Pill boards for Uni students, but I don't think he's active much at the moment on the forum

BTW. We have quite a few ham radio license holders on the forum, including me.

Re: My intro

Thanks @staticmem

If you have previous MCU dev experience you should have very few problems, once you get over any initial installation etc issues

Re: Olimexino-STM32

Not all examples work with all boards The F103RB is just a larger F103C with a few more pins, it doesnt have things like DAC that the F103RE or VE or ZE has etc Also, unless someone reports a compile issue with an example I have no way of knowing that it doesnt work, as its impractical for me to tes...

Re: DFU ubuntu 17.04

Bootloader uses a pin as button to force it to lock in bootloader mode.

I forget which pin it is on each bootloader version

Check in config.h

Re: F405 & F411 versions of the BluePill

I didnt expect USB and OTG USB to work at the same time But as the main reason for using the BluePill form factor is so that people could use this as a drop in replacement for existing projects which could use more speed / performance. I think its important to keep PA9 and PA10 connected as Serial (...

Re: Baite made Maple Mini clone, hopeless

The information is in the original LeafLabs docs http://docs.leaflabs.com/static.leaflabs.com/pub/leaflabs/maple-docs/latest/hardware/maple-mini.html You can't use PB9 as its used as the USB DISConnect signal on that board. (Check the schematic on leaflabs github repo) PS. The Maple mini clones shou...
