Re: very small STM32F405 board

Just for reference, I recently bought one of these: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Mini-version-STM32F407VET6-development-board-Cortex-M4-STM32-minimum-system-board/32820028986.html?spm=2114.search0104.3.9.oQmMdI&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_4_10152_10065_10151_10068_10130_10084_10083_10...

Re: Intend to clean up and add function to SPI

Steve, I think the first version seems like a better option to me.
If using the second and the SPI port is set to 16bit more, it would cause 2x 16bit transfers.

Re: "Irregular" non-integer timer interrupt values (e.g. 22.67us/44.1khz)

Ok. I discovered my problem was that the sd card is not fast enough, or the sd fat library is interfering with the timer. But when i fill an array with as many bytes the blue pill can take and play that back, it is sync/in tune with a reload of 1633. I already milled an new prototype PCB for the bl...

Re: Introducing STM32F4 based dev board for robotics with Arduino compatible programming framework

Given that they offer open source software with an arduino layer, and uses and stm32 MCU I would think it does have some merit to be posted here. Even if they want some promotion they may honestly want some feedback.
We will see if they come back to reply, or leave the post count at 1.

Re: news: Arduino STAR OTTO development board

144pins F469 in arduino UNO headers format - what would be the targeted audience with it? Updated to be more precise.. Perhaps a Due factor would have been better to use the pins?, or rather use an F469 with a smaller count of pins, but pretty much any version would have more pins than an UNO. Stil...

Re: Fading PB1 (D33) LED

If you want to fully support the precission available in the stm32, that's 16 bits, the the function to use is pwmWrite(), and the duty cycle parameter can take a 16bit value. But then you will have code that only works on the this core. I do not know if you want to just create code compatible with...

Re: "Irregular" non-integer timer interrupt values (e.g. 22.67us/44.1khz)

for those interested, I still have to test this (dont have the hardware with me right now), but according to HardwareTimer.cpp it would should be right to set the prescaler: Timer2.setPrescaleFactor(0); to set the autoreload value: Timer2.setOverflow(1499); A overflow of 1633 would give me a freq o...

Maybe everyone that got excited with the Otto but could never get it? ;)

Re: Basic example for SPI DMA

We added dmaSend and dmaTransfer to the core to make it easier to use DMA, but haven't written much documentation on the forum other than an old thread when we started talking about doing so. the dmaSend and dmaTransfer functions evolved a bit based on the needs of the sdFat library, so they have a ...
