The rail guns use 5-10 million Amperes to fire a projectile w/ 2miles/sec muzzle velocity and 100miles range..

Re: Using an STM32 to levitate/suspend tiny neodymium magnet at 12" or so...

So all i need is a 1728 ampere battery? Nope, I have not said that :) Anyhow, in order to control the levitation by stm32 you first have to know with how much current you need to feed your coil in order to get your magnet at the required height.. I do not know, you have to measure. Knowing that you...

Re: Rogers postbag

Roger, as I wrote above you need a switcher (step up converter) working from 0.7V to 6V input, giving you say 5V stable at the output. How much current? - it depends, but at least the voltage will be stable. There are such chips, long time back I used to use a 5pin sot MAX17xx something https://data...

Re: Using an STM32 to levitate/suspend tiny neodymium magnet at 12" or so...

The force/intensity of the magnetic field of such setup drops with the cube of the distance usually. For example: if you need "1" unit of power to levitate at 1 inch distance, you would need "1728" units of power in order to levitate at 12 inch distance.. :) Say with the same coil and magnet you lev...

Re: Eclipse (sloeber) and ST-Linkv2 upload

I do not understand why the change in boards.txt is needed - why it does not read the STLink upload method properly.. Most probably some of the directives formats in boards.txt are not up to date. Sometimes are people get surprised something does not work - mostly because nobody is using that featur...

Re: some sectors are write protected

1. your ST_Link dongle works fine when uploading a sketch via ST_Link method from Arduino IDE 2. when using ST_Link dongle with ST_Link Utility then the programming the bootloader fails with above errors. Is that correct? Could you make the screenshot of your Target->Settings while connected to your...
