Re: STM acquires Atollic

Is Atollic IDE support C++ core like STM32 core?
Have anyone used STM32 core in Atollic IDE?

fast I/O, digitalWrite vs BSRR

Hello Dude,
Come to fast I/O programming, I've to use

Code: Select all

GPIOA->BSRR |= GPIO_BSRR_BS5;  //Set PA5 -> High
Instead of

Code: Select all

digitalWrite(PA5, HIGH);
What are pros and cons of those above two lines?

Thanks in adv,
pak

Re: stm32duino core with System Workbench for bluepill

@Rick You should probably create a new test project using System Workbench without using my project configuration. Verify that you can compile and debug on windows. It looks like you are specifying the wrong stlink device, based on the vid/pid mismatch. I created new project with the code generated ...

Re: stm32duino core with System Workbench for bluepill

I've tried to use Rick's bluepill.zip with AC6 in Windows 10 (64 bit), because setting up Linux is too difficult for me. I use blue pill and ST-Link from ebay. I'm just newbie with eclipse software. I try to make several parameters adjustment and but finally, I've got error message. Does it look lik...

Re: FreeRTOSConfig.h parameters editing

Hello Pito, Thanks for suggestion. #define configMINIMAL_STACK_SIZE ( ( unsigned short ) 120 ) #define configTOTAL_HEAP_SIZE ( ( size_t ) ( 8 * 1024 ) ) Yes, exactly the same in FreeRTOSConfig.h. What is the optimal value for configTOTAL_HEAP_SIZE. Is it possible for you to explain more? Hello Victo...

Re: FreeRTOSConfig.h parameters editing

I found the issue was due to the allocated stack size. If I set: Code: Select all xTaskCreate( vTaskFunction, "Task 1", 1000, (void*)pcTextForTask1, 1, NULL ); xTaskCreate( vTaskFunction, "Task 2", 1000, (void*)pcTextForTask2, 2, NULL ); the code breaks and Windows can't even recognize the Maple Se...

Re: FreeRTOSConfig.h parameters editing

Thank you for quick response and helpful advice.
It's working now, so extern "C" is used for calling a C function from C++.
