Re: SoftwareSerial

I made some slight changes to your code. I don't echo the Timer4Serial . To test I used the local echo option on the putty terminal for Timer4Serial. This allows you to send lots of data without it being overrun. I also looped until I exhaust the available input instead of grabbing one character at ...

Re: BluePill Software Serial Library

The code I tested ( http://www.stm32duino.com/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=6&start=40#p21156" ) works just fine. The key is not trying to handle read data as quickly as it becomes available so that the buffers don't overflow and the interrupts aren't blocked. You (asmallri) are using delays while you are re...

At least the %f format of printf will not work anymore. But there is a option to include %f, but can't remember that from the top of my head.

Re: how to tell if a bluepill has bootloader in it

blue pills never come with a pre-installed bootloader.

You should have bought a baite maple mini or a robotdyn stm32f103c8 with the extra cost bootloader option.

So this has turned out to be a huge exercise in frustration, looks like due to the board options Maple Mini isn't supported for debugging (no st-link upload method?).
You might check out the entries I added to the boards.txt

Re: shujaat: [SOLVED] Volatile Qualifier

I've got my github configured to watch the Roger's repo. When I saw a Pull Request looking to change 125 files for a case change, I had to see what this is all about. I just skimmed this thread and tried to figure out why this is being requested. So it appears it all comes down to use a library call...

Re: Simple guide to make BMP on Baite?

So I've gathered its possible to make a BMP from a Baite Maple mini. But from possible finding some prebuilt firmware, I dont know how to make it work? You shouldn't waste your time with a Baite MM port unless you are in it for the educational value. Just buy a blackpill and load the binary found h...

Re: What's the difference - stm32duino makes st-link inoperrable?

The original maple boards use a bootloader exclusively. The maple people intentionally made it hard to use the SWD/JTAG pins and made them normal gpio pins. Go look at the pinouts for the maple mini. We came later with our generic boards and desire to use a debugger. Now in the Arduino ide, if you s...
