Re: Maple Mini SERIAL PORT is Disabled

The maple mini really isn't the board for you.

Re: pricing disparity implies higher forward prices?

I think we talked about this before . The chips you find on the bluepill are typically "old stock" and older revisions? I'm not sure where they come from. However I'm pretty sure they are not the latest revision of the chip. I would hope If you buy a chip retail they are going to be the latest revi...

Re: analogWrite issues stm32vldiscovery via DAC

Rick, It seems your values are good to regards of the datasheet. DAC ouput range: min = 0.2V max = VDDA - 0.2 So I think you couldn't have better values. Thanks I was reading another document (AN3126) which gave this formula: DACOutput = VREF x DOR / 4096 Which on some level made no sense as you ca...

Re: analogWrite issues stm32vldiscovery via DAC

The analogWrite() in the official STM core (see link in first post) uses the DAC peripheral if the pin is capable and falls back to PWM if not. I was using PA4 which is DAC CHANNEL 1.

Re: STM32CubeMX generates gcc makefiles now

If you generate some simple stuff like few GPIOa. Then next time add something like i2c or any other peripheral. It will not add c files in Makefile (you need to add them manualy) If you delete Makefile it will not recreate it. I just tried this with the STM32VLDIscovery board. I deleted the Makefi...

STM32CubeMX generates gcc makefiles now

I've been using STM32CubeMX for a while now with the SW4STM32 ide. However, I missed that they recently added the ability to generate simple makefiles that work with arm-none-eabi-gcc

Good job ST!

analogWrite issues stm32vldiscovery via DAC

I'm trying out the DISCO_F100RB from the pull request https://github.com/fpistm/Arduino_Core_STM32/tree/STM32F1_merge_Other. The range of the values doesn't seem to match the VCC voltage. Measuring the "3.3v" pin on the boards shows a reading of 2.99V analogWrite(9,0); results in a 59mV reading on P...

Re: Introducing STM32F4 based dev board for robotics with Arduino compatible programming framework

The arduino layer is about as minimal as you can get. It is one file (Arudino.h) that provides digitalRead/Write Serial print and analogRead/Write. There is little chance any significant library would work.
