Re: tone() not working on F072-Discovery

You could wire the tone output pin to another pin configure to do a pulseIn() to measure.

Re: Suggest having BluePill pins defined for all Arduino pins

I have my desktop background set to the GIF from the wiki: http://wiki.stm32duino.com/images/a/ae/Bluepillpinout.gif It incorporates everything you want to know about the pins. Pin name, 5V tolerant, not 5v tolerant, PWM capable, max sink and source, all the available alternative functions all on on...

Re: Suggest having BluePill pins defined for all Arduino pins

What's the point? The blue pill board doesn't have a layout like an arduino, you will need an adapter plate to actually use any arduino shield. All this suggestion does is make sure code I write for the Roger's core will be guaranteed not to work on the STM core. :| It sound like you need to get a N...

Re: more fun with C++, templates and GPIO

is it possible write this so that it could be used for any port eg A, B, ... G etc ? @zmemw16 I was looking at this again for some reason. I made a simple change that lets you do what you want. I added a generic template member function called GPIOPortX() that returns the proper port based on a num...

I will probably use up all the red pill with point to point wiring and move forward to go with the blue pill after that ...
The red pill and blue pill use the same pinouts. You shouldn't have to do anything. They are completely interchangeable.

Yes I think it is a bot. Seems to have a negative response bias ; )

Re: Blue Pill - Error trying to program

Use a wire to connect the TX to the RX on the arduino mega, then use a terminal program that lets you set the parity, (say something like putty) and see if it works properly. Try 8-E-1.

Isn't that an esp32 not a stm32?

Re: Blue Pill - Error trying to program

Does your arduino mega as a usb work properly with parity?

Do you have an FTDI usb dongle you could use instead?

Re: Counterfeit F103s

I would think if you really cared you would buy from an authorized distrubutor . The other alternative is to use the low cost Nucelo / Discovery boards. They would still be low cost (assuming you are in the US) but they will be made with real chips for sure. If you go the China route, you pays your ...
