Re: blue pill board bricked by maple mini updater.ino

FWIW: I've had success with a real FTDI FT232R-, a china clone FTDI FT232R, and a Prolific PL2303. I just found a CP2102 chip on a waveshare motherboard I have and that also works successfully. I have no idea if it is a china clone or real. $ lsusb -d 10c4: Bus 001 Device 030: ID 10c4:ea60 Cygnal I...

maybe your china clone dongles aren't generating the proper parity bits?

do you have a real ftdi dongle or a real arduino with an ftdi chip?

Re: Minimum ADC reference voltage?

If you are talking about the LQFP48 stm32f103 chips, they don't even have a VREF+ pin. Nor do the LQFP64 chips.

Re: blue pill board bricked by maple mini updater.ino

The stm32flash loader relies on python, correct? Which version of python are yoy using? Afaik the flash loader is compatible with v2.6 but not with v3
I had a similar issue running the loader with python v3

That depends on your OS, on linux and OSX it is a compiled c program.

Re: blue pill board bricked by maple mini updater.ino

The easiest solution is to send me your device. I'll use it and you buy a new one ;)

Re: blue pill board bricked by maple mini updater.ino

Try running the updater.ino sketch on your blue pill :-) If that is intended to run on the maple mini, it won't work. But it shouldn't fry it. The maple mini has a transistor that is configured to provide a switch for the 1k5 pull up resistor on on the PA12 USB+ signal. The bluepill lacks that feat...

Re: blue pill board bricked by maple mini updater.ino

I've never had a case where the ROM based UART bootloader didn't work. You just set BOOT0 high and BOOT1 low and press reset. The device should be sitting there waiting to talk to stm32flash on USART1

Are you sure you have the TX/RX pins wired properly?

Re: wrong serial boud rate

Does your board have a 12MHz crystal instead of an 8MHz?
