Re: Optimisation and clock speed menu - enhancements

It could be useful to provide usb features (ie dfu or serial usb) to custom boards missing the HSE or for boards with defective HSE.

Re: Optimisation and clock speed menu - enhancements

BTW. I've updated the repo so there is a much bigger warning in upper case which reads Overclocked 128Mhz NO USB SERIAL. MANUAL RESET NEEDED TO UPLOAD Hi Roger, if you are adding unsupported options (i.e. 128MHz overclock) then I'd suggest also "HSI@48MHz with USB", not officially supported but see...

SerialUSB using HSI@48MHz

Not supported but seems working: #include <libmaple/rcc.h> #define BOARD_RCC_PLLMUL RCC_PLLMUL_12 static stm32f1_rcc_pll_data pll_data = {BOARD_RCC_PLLMUL}; rcc_pll_cfg w_board_pll_cfg = {RCC_PLLSRC_HSI_DIV_2, &pll_data}; void switch_to_HSI_48MHz_USB(); void setup() { // put your setup code here, to...

Re: Hi from a prospective stm32 owner

Aliexpress.com is littered with these under $2 boards. My last purchase was one of the 10 quantities. https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=&SearchText=STM32F103C8T6%2C+STM32+ARM I strongly recommend purchasing one of the known to work versions: blue, black, red ... adding yet ...

Re: Hi from a prospective stm32 owner

Looks like a "yet another STM32 pill variant" and seems well done (1.5K ohm USB pull up).
The 32kHz crystal is on the back.
RobotDyn support (from http://robotdyn.com) kindly provided me the schematics but the file is too big to be attached here..

Re: Is anyone interested in helping to make an Arduino Due which uses a 100-pin STM32F072 (or something else more suitab

What could be the target price for this board?
Consider that on ebay you can buy chinese Due clones (with original SAM3X8E, MEGA16U2, etc) for 13$ each which grants you real full compatibility if you really need a Due board.

Re: Is anyone interested in helping to make an Arduino Due which uses a 100-pin STM32F072?

I do agree with Roger, I don't think I could be interested in a lower value board just because it has a Due form factor.
Tip: why not thinking of a Due adapter for the existing and cheap F103/407 V/Z development boards?
There are some which are pretty popular..

Re: Free RTOS and idle loop()

In implementing some sleep code in that loop though, I have found I seem to have stopped the scheduler on return from sleep so I will have to investigate that farther. Thanks Robyn You should not use the deepsleep modes (stop and standby) as they stop the systick (and standby reboots too) but the s...

Re: Timer and Interrupt used together to leave sleep mode

Thanks E. It did cross my mind that the OP may have been using the MM and I didnt think it had the external 32 khz crystal. Using the LSI is an interesting work around, but I have not tried it, and of course the timing is going to me inaccurate unless you apply some calibration in the code e.g. I k...

Re: Timer and Interrupt used together to leave sleep mode

Thanks Pito. It clarifies a lot of things. So Roger is trying to help me to re-enumerate the serial after I lost connection. Something in the core could do it. I just need to find out how. It's understood now. But the problem of serial disconnection is not my biggest problem. I still trying to figu...
