Re: stm32 based programmable power supply

thanks dannyf, i've always think that using an mcu to run a regulator or being itself the regulator (esp, buck/boost) converter is an overkill interestingly st actually publish some appnotes showing how this can be done AN2390 a flexible universal battery charger (st7) http://www.st.com/content/ccc/...

Re: Another comparison video on YouTube

and there is a 'hidden' power about stm32duino, it can do real usb that some simplier arduino can't
and the 'upgrade' stm32f407 can do math at 500mflops overclocked

Re: What can & can't it do?

i think arduino basically stems from the simplicity of a concept started with wiring http://wiring.org.co/learning/basics/setuploop.html setup() and loop() hence it is possibly easier for beginners to get started stm32 cube would provide (much) better support across the stm32 families of mcus and if...

Re: stm32 based programmable power supply

thanks dannyl, my guess is that for a rather low power setup it would be quite possible to use an mcu (stm32), perhaps combined with a dac for the mcu to control an LM317 adjustable linear regulator http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lm317.pdf or better still LM2596 bucks converter http://www.ti.com/l...

Re: SdFat works with 256MB, but not with 4GB SDHC

i'm pretty much a novice in sd cards technology as well, i think the clue to that may well be in the SD simplified specs https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/pls/ in particular Part 1 Simplified Physical Layer Simplified Specification section 4.7.4 list the various detailed command description starting ...

Re: SdFat works with 256MB, but not with 4GB SDHC

you are using greiman's sd fat? https://github.com/greiman/SdFat , there are some examples such as reading sd info https://github.com/greiman/SdFat/tree/master/examples/SdInfo it may be worth trying them out as if sdinfo don't work the problem may be connectivity itself (e.g. SPI speeds etc) if conn...

Re: stm32f103c8 or esp32 for a datalogger

he gave the same incentive to me too  when i will receive the esp32 i will decide which mcu to use and then make the pcb, the only problem is that i will see it in 2 months ahahah in italy the national post is soooo slow i was just looking for the esp32's spi pins andddd them are configurable ...

Re: stm32f103c8 or esp32 for a datalogger

i think u're giving me some incentive to try out esp32 too

earlier on some of my searches seemed to land me on somewhat pricier esp32 boards
