Re: from stm32 to stm8s

i'd less likely use stm8s as 'standalone' mcus, even though they could do that. the main reason is that with 8k flash and 1k ram http://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/microcontrollers/stm8-8-bit-mcus/stm8s-series/stm8s103-105/stm8s103f3.html it would be quite a challenge to do partially what ...

Re: Anyone tried to make a 3D Printer controller?

i actually ordered one of these, i've not yet received it though, https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=ramps+3d+printer+board&_sop=12&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=ramps+shield+3d+printer+board&_sacat=0 among the considerations are the 3.3v to 5v interfacing, i'm not too sure how complicated it is going...

Re: MM board not detected on one machine.

install a sketch on B2 (i'm assuming that your platform.txt and boards.txt is stock and has -DSERIAL_USB defined). it may be a sketch that simply just turn on the led. if the led did not light up the sketch is possibly not installed correctly or not working. if it is the stock maple boot loader dfu-...

Re: Anyone tried to make a 3D Printer controller?

this repository seem a little 'hot' https://github.com/St3dPrinter/Marlin4ST http://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/steval-3dp001v1.html ^^ this is ST's 'own' 3d printer board somewhat pricy at $116 looking at the schematics they are using L6474 stepper drivers http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/...

it would seem to me that there isn't any arm-none-gcc/g++ compiler tool chain on arm platform itself isn't it?

Re: Recommended TFT LCD displays for stmduino compatible boards?

agree with chris, if you would like to go with st's products there are some stm discovery boards with on board lcds http://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/32f746gdiscovery.html http://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/32f429idiscovery.html however, i'm not too sure if libmaple's stm32duino would run on ...

Re: Anyone tried to make a 3D Printer controller?

i'm half way wondering how feasible is it to get those RAMPS boards and use them with STM32 F1 or F4 boards, http://reprap.org/wiki/Arduino_Mega_Pololu_Shield https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=ramps+3d+printer+board&_sop=12&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=ramps+shield+3d+printer+board&_sacat=0 those bo...

Re: does stm32f1 gets too hot in a project box? and temperature sensor

Re: does stm32f1 gets too hot in a project box? and temperature sensor

thanks pito, fred, i'm thinking of fitting a maple mini + ili9341 display in a plastic 'project box' https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=project+box&_sacat=0 at the moment trying to figure out how to make the holes (e.g. for the lcd) and how to fasten the components, maple mini do not hav...
