Re: SINGLE ADC (STM32F103CBT6) conversion example

does it work? :) do take note that you are converting integer to float, be a little careful of truncation e.g. float vanalog = (float) (2984 * (int) adc_read(ADC1, 4) ) / 4096.0; i'm not sure if an explicit cast to 32 bit int is needed the 'config' are actually in platforms.txt and boards.txt, i thi...

Re: How many CPU clocks long.. CpuGetTicks().. and nanosecs

kind of wondering what it would look like to have stm32 do NTP time sync over serial, the host PC as a NTP proxy connecting ultimately to atomic clocks on the internet https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_Time_Protocol then maybe later we'd need to mess with leap seconds etc btw my guess is it won'...

Re: free logic analizer

i'm wondering what would happen if we (ever) read that clock train SPI style, e.g. setup as a SPI slave, feed the clock into SCK and we 'lazily' just read the input on MOSI (e.g. read_byte = SPI.transfer(0x00); ), then 1msps become 10-30 msps?

Re: free logic analizer

so it reaches 1 msps resolution, would try it out 1 day the loop seem to look 'deceptively' simple, no interrupts? :D i've a strange feeling that that loop may well be doing millions of loops per sec e.g. no change, no change, no change, no change, ... ok 1 change, no change, no change ... i'm...

Re: Linux: flashing own STM32F103C8T6 generic USB bootloader not much luck

compile and install a sketch from roger's f1 core https://github.com/rogerclarkmelbourne/Arduino_STM32 usb is initialized and enumerated by the sketch itself make sure that the define SERIAL_USB is there in platforms.txt specified as a compile flag run lsusb with a sketch in a normal boot you would ...

Re: PWM ILI9341 backlight control?

omg, i happily connected my gpio pin to the led (backlight) pin on ili9341   connected a 220 ohm series resistor but still using the gpio pin my guess is that brings it below 15ma within the max operating conditions 25ma graphics are a good lot dimmer but still visible, may try the trans...

Re: ili3941 TJCTM24028-SPI

yup, earlier i've naively connected my reset on pin 0 (pb11) on maple mini. it turns out the code check that reset pin is something other than 0 before it does a reset. *without the reset* right at the beginning of TFT.begin() - that does initiation - 'nothing works' imho the standalone LDO on...

some useful documentation on the CubeMX and HAL API

while googling around looking up information for the ST's Cube MX - HAL API i stumbled into this link en.DM00105879.pdf UM1725 User Manual Description of STM32F4 HAL and LL drivers http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/user_manual/2f/71/ba/b8/75/54/47/cf/DM00105879.pdf/files/DM00...

Re: ili3941 TJCTM24028-SPI

i stumbled into this LDO stuff while searching for a way to use that SD card (note it is not micro SD) slot  mine has got various series resistors connecting to the SD slot pins and i found interesting hacks here https://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=354873.0 and here https://forum.pjrc.com/...
