Re: STM32F103C8T6 extreme low power consumption (frequency, periphery)

Interesting, insightful, thought/comments, and points for this thread of discussion. What I am tring to find at moment is what sort of cable, jig or such one uses to measure the current and voltage? I have a sense a jig is what is likely needed. I suspect there are as many different ways to design a...

Re: Arduino for programming STM32f103c8t6 board

@alfstm32: I've gone through maybe 15 sketches today to validate my STM32 environment, USB ports, and permissions and everything is compiling and downloading correctly. I do remember having to chmod 0755 a couple of scripts and there was one other executable, dfu-util, I think, that needed to be se...

Re: Do I need a ST-Link or JLink or Both?

The familar to you all Metal STLink I ordered mid November 2016 just arrived today. In last week I have received 8 orders from last November and first week of last December in past week. In sets of 3, 3, and 2. All from different dates shipped and all from different sellers. I think the suggestion o...

Re: Do I need a ST-Link or JLink or Both?

Roger, I looked and resarched the type of STLink you pictured in your last reply. My memory on this is rusty as this research and consideration of an STLink like you posted was done about back in October/November last year. I seem to recall there were versions and then versions of these. I also seem...

Re: Do I need a ST-Link or JLink or Both?

Hello racemaniac and vargham, Thanks for the: ST-link should suffice :) You can program any stm microcontroller with it, and also have full debugging with it :). Or any other ARM Cortex MCU. Serial Wire Debug is ARM's standard debug interface. Are the metal STLinks reasonable choice? My sense is som...

Re: No upload via dfu

Stephen, The issue is not just the Baite MM orders. I had many orders with tracking. All but one or two of those many orders arrived in Canada in very good time, but sat for weeks before many were delivered. Many weeks meaning in Canada for delivery to Toronto, not some igloo near the North Pole nee...

Re: Do I need a ST-Link or JLink or Both?

There is an "updater" sketch which will reflash the original bootloader with the stm32duino-bootloader (look in the stm32duino-bootloader repo in github) I was aware of the "updater" sketch. Sense was if could, better to use USB to Serial or STLink/JLink to upgrade the bootloade...

Re: No upload via dfu

Hello Roger, Sorry I have had a number of "interrupts" due to reasons for my important personal STM32 project. Compounding this is various items I ordered last Fall that should have arrived mid to later December 2016 eitehr have not arrived or are taking 3-4+ months to arrive. Examples are...

Re: Do I need a ST-Link or JLink or Both?

Hello All, Thank you for your replies to my post. I have not been here to the site since those posts. One major reason is the reason for my couple personal STM32 projects. Another and had no idea would happen is various items I ordered last fall still have not arrived. One of those items ordered las...

Re: No upload via dfu

Roger thank you for your excellent reply. Your reply confirms some parts I know I have read, some I read and could not remember, and some new elements. You don't need to set a jumper or press a button if things are working OK After the compile is finished, Maple upload script gets run by the IDE whi...
