Re: Which define defines the stm32 core for libraries?

You can simply use the define STM32 (Here)

Re: Adding Custom Board Questions/Feedback

tomvdb, The only change I still had to do to the original core was to add the correct definition of the cmsis startup file to cores/arduino/stm32/stm32_def_build.h, but since that is a generic partnumber and not linked to a specific board I'm thinking thats ok since it only needs to be added once fo...

Re: Adding Custom Board Questions/Feedback

Firstly, thank you for the fix. Secondly, you're right. Maybe I spoke too quickly. To add a custom board which impacts the core will be difficult. But propose some features to the core because you find a way to add it and make it generic enough to work with all variants, we'll take it. I don't have ...

Re: Adding Custom Board Questions/Feedback

Hi tomvdb, Thank you to use the STM32 Core for Arduino. I'm enjoyed to see all is working for you. One of the issues I had along the way was with Step 5, adding the System Clock Configuration. The SystemClock_Config generated calls the Error_Handler function if there is an issue. This function is no...

Re: analogWrite issues stm32vldiscovery via DAC

Rick,

It seems your values are good to regards of the datasheet.

DAC ouput range:
  • min = 0.2V
  • max = VDDA - 0.2
So I think you couldn't have better values.

Re: Arduino_Core_STM32F1 & I2C

Hi @caniggia

Thank you for your feedback.
Performances look like very good.
We will merge the patch.

Thanks

Re: Arduino_Core_STM32F1 & I2C

Hi caniggia I pushed my example of master reader & writer. I tried with 10ms delay between each request and I found 2 issues: The delay inside the slave loop example must be less than the delay between read and write command inside the loop of master example. Maybe you can just remove it. The Serial...

Re: Arduino_Core_STM32F1 & I2C

@caniggia I fixed the problem with Tx slave mode because there was one indeed. I added an example in Wire library to give a solution to use slave in Tx & Rx mode. You can find the patch here for the moment: https://github.com/stm32duino/Arduino_Core_STM32F1/pull/46 However, as I said previously, you...

Re: Arduino_Core_STM32F1 & I2C

Hi @caniggia Unfortunately the Tx slave mode doesn't work with STM32F1. It is a known issue. Tx and Rx slave mode are not compatible in the current HAL version. So to be compatible with Wire library, we have decided to set Rx slave mode by default. We are waiting for a new HAL version. Please let me...

Re: How can we reduce the excessive RAM use by this core

We prefer to keep a warning base on the real RAM usage for the user. We agree that Arduino should give a solution to modify this level (75% is too low). Reduce stack and heap under the current value is risky (we have made some tests during the development). Maybe there isn't any solution for the mom...
