Hi,
I've open a discussion around timer management here:

Nice.
Thanks to share.
Note that the link from zoomx refers to the one made by Mikal Hart which is the original based code for the one from stevestrong ;)

Re: First time reader, First time poster

Hi, yes the Disco L4 IOT is supported by the https://github.com/stm32duino/Arduino_Core_STM32 Several libraries and examples are already available for this boards. The WiFi library is under validation. FYI, I've tested the Adafruit MQTT library and raised a PR on their github to fix a build issue. W...

Re: New DISCO_L072CZ_LRWAN1 variant; questions about a few details

So I guess it makes sense to define them like mbed does, with a comment about the need to close solder bridges. (Is there a good place to document such restrictions?) I think yes. For the moment it's the better place, I think, as when an user uses the core he could have the information directly in ...

Re: New DISCO_L072CZ_LRWAN1 variant; questions about a few details

1. This board has A1, A3, A4 and A5 unconnected. What is the best way to handle this? What I did so far was to define those pins as NC in digitalPin[] and put dummy NC_2, NC_3, ... entries in the enum in variant.h: const PinName digitalPin[] = { ... PA_0, //D26/A0 NC, //D27/A1 PA_4, //D28/A2 NC, //...

Re: stmf303 Blink led because so much memory used?

by default -OS.
It seems VSMicro uses well the boards.txt and platform.txt of the core.
As I said I do not know the VSMicro.
To have a little gain, for blink sketch you can set the Option 2 to No serial this will remove the Serial instance

Re: [Deprecated: old core]Introducing the new delivery for STM

Rick is right. It should be in a dedicated topic.

Anyway, I've tested your sketch.
So, first issue is the multiple definition of the TIM3_IRQHandler.

I think the best fix is to define it as WEAK.
I've tested and it is ok.

extern "C" is mandatory to avoid any c++ function name decoration.
