Re: by-passing the arduino-e-ness?

given the i2s thread currently active, some of their code is at least fairly esoteric and
'below' the arduino code; even though it'll probably be going into a library.

Re: Auto-launch arm-none-eabi-gdb after upload script

I don't like Microsoft's monopoly either, but some of us would prefer to pay $80 every 4 years to them. i didn't know that though. ada fees back in 93/94 were £2k-£3k or more per station and we were looking at 400-500 plus stations; doing the grunt with gnu ada and finally with the fully certified ...

by-passing the arduino-e-ness?

is it or will it be possible for users to access the HAL layer interface directly?

could we have a flag __HAL_CODE__ ?

it is perhaps not a good idea for libraries:--)

Re: HALMX roadmap.

The HD44780 does require an extra negitive supply when used at 3V. This can be easily implemented with a charge pump, either from a PWM pin or an external fixed frequency source. HD44780's with an extended temperature operating range also require a negative supply with 5V, I got two via an oops wro...

Re: Downloads? Howtos?

always, always go to github.com top level searches there for arduino stm32' | 'stm32 arduino' | 'stm32_arduino' | 'arduino_stm32' | 'stm32-arduino' | 'arduino-stm32' all give as 1st or 2nd rogerclarkmelbourne/Arduino_STM32; that gives you the README.md, which further directs you. (yes, perhaps a cop...

Re: Auto-launch arm-none-eabi-gdb after upload script

with regard to time, it only took me 14yrs or so to get an officially sanctioned linux box on the company network. i 'retired' 4 wks later:-) the first cracks in the wall were 1 ) gnu ada compiler around '94 saving i suspect a lot of ada per station costs 2 ) saving the u$ office & windows costs on ...
