Note.

I dont think the bootloader upload will work.

I think the vector table offset will have been compiled into the library.

I am not sure which file(s) its used in, but those files would need to be moved to the variant folder, or 2 different libs would be needed, ( with different Vector offsets)

I suspect the level of flexibility we normally have in the libmaple version, may require most of the files in the system libstm32fxxx folder to be moved to the cores variants, so that they are built at compile time by the IDE.
Especially as we normally compile in the USB depending on defines setup in boards.txt

I have re-copied the files on a Linux 32 (VM).

Note. It wasnt just the STlink that had those issues, it was all non-windows executables including install scripts and maple_upload and upload_reset etc etc
