Gamecube controller to USB adapter

Post by arpruss » Sat Sep 30, 2017 4:00 am

I made a Gamecube controller to USB adapter using a black pill. It has a lot of operation modes, so it can produce keystrokes, or joystick movements, or even (for Minecraft) keystrokes+mouse movements. I ended up using modified version of the outdated addMidiHID branch of the stm32 core.

Build instructions are here:
https://www.instructables.com/id/Gamecu ... ng-Starte/

This also includes getting-started instructions on how to get started with making USB HID devices with stm32f1, in case any other newbie needs them.

Code is here:

Modified version of addMidiHID branch:

3D-printable case (may be useful for other black pill projects):

Interesting..

One thing I noticed is that the instructable says use the wrong bootloader.

it says use the pb12 version for the blue pill, but its supposed to be then pc13 versions...

The only difference is of course which pin it toggles e.g. flashes, but if you had pb12 connected to some hardware it could be a problem

The Instructable is for the black pill. At least mine uses PB12 as the LED.

OK.

My bad.... ;-)

Just quickly looking at the photo it initially looked like a Blue Pill
