If you install the bootloader with a FT232 or equivalent, then after that you can just plug the board straight into the PC and it will initially show up as a WinUSB DFU device, untill there is a valid sketch.

Then after you have uploaded a sketch, the sketch has the Serial USB in it

Ideally, you need to use a bootloader binary with the LED pin the same as on your board.

Do you know which pin the LED is on?

LED has PC13 printed underneath on the board, so I'm assuming it's pin C13 on the board.

If its on PC13 you need the PC13 bootloader
