Hello and Help with USB

Post by nrie » Fri Sep 15, 2017 10:31 am

Hi Everyone,
Just starting with ST32 but with a good background otherwise in micro stuff including Arduino.
I thought I would start with a generic board which had a lot of pads on it I could put things on see https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Mini-ST ... 0068_54000
Anyway, I plugged it in using the usb port and my Windows 7 said it did not recognise it. Following helpful posts here I used my ST Link to download a few sketches to it to verify it works. I am just wondering how I get the USB port to be recognised. I am thinking the board itself needs some basic program sequence to get the usb working on that end, then there is probably an ST USB driver I need. Is this the one at http://www.st.com/en/development-tools/ ... 32102.html ?
Thanks for any help
Robyn

You definitely need a driver.
Read this: http://wiki.stm32duino.com/index.php?ti ... on_Windows
If it does not work, try that from ST.
