ranseyer: Hello erverybody

Post by ranseyer » Tue Feb 06, 2018 7:18 pm

Hi,

i'm from germany and im developing MySensors hardware. (Favored communication via RS485 or in needed RFM69 868MHz and maybe in the Future RFM95/LoRA)

My newest idea is to test the Maple-Mini with MySensors...

If you ever get around to testing the ESP32+LoRa, I'd appreciate a note put in the "other" section of the forum. I have 2 of the devices.

Me, too. But, I tested just inside the abode. I would like to see how the testing goes in a range test with real data.

Re: LoRA
I wrote ping test system and walked around the neighborhood with a Blue pill, LED flashing when it had sent some data to my ping server.

Even using those "spring" type antennas at both end, and the "server" just sitting on the bench at the back of the house, I could get several hundred metres range.

Spec's on LoRa protocol are astounding in their "noise floor" and hence their range vs Tx power

Oh, yea... several hundred meters sounds great.
