java.lang.NullPointerException ou upload

Post by JoaoLopesF » Sun Nov 08, 2015 1:39 pm

Hi,

First , thanks a lot Roger, for carrying the STM32 for the Arduino . Excellent job.

I'm new to STM32Duino .
I am having a problem installation on Mac OSX.

I tried with Arduino 1.6.5 and 1.6.3

When upload, the error occurs : java.lang.NullPointerException

The port is listed in Arduino list of ports.

What can I do ?

Regards

Joao

Firstly, don't use IDE 1.6.6 or newer, because at the moment its not supported and from what I've read 1.6.6 has a lot of issues with existing libraries etc.

So use 1.6.5 if you were using 1.6.6.

If that doesn't fix it..

Turn on verbose for upload and compile (in the preferences)
Post the output from the IDE.

You can also try running up the debug version of the IDE, (both versions are shipped, but the links are to the non-debug), this will give additional output in a separate terminal window
