Review: CZ mini STM32F103VET6 (infos, documents, BL…)

Generic boards that are not Maple or Maple mini clones, and don't contain the additional USB reset hardware

No I just changed locally. This is a change to the Arduino IDE. I doubt they are going to change the IDE for boards they don't even support. In addition, I don't have any boards with that many Serial ports. I was just curious where it was hidden and I happened to be compiling the IDE when I read this post. You could probably get it to highlight without modifying the Arduino IDE by creating a new dummy library that just has a keyword.txt file containing Serial4, Serial5 keywords. Then you could just include that in any board that has lots of serial ports.

This seems to work:

$ cat FatSerial/keywords.txt

Code: Select all

#######################################
# Syntax Coloring Map Servo
#######################################

#######################################
# Datatypes (KEYWORD1)
#######################################

Serial4	KEYWORD1	Serial
Serial5	KEYWORD1	Serial
$ cat FatSerial/library.properties

Code: Select all

name=FatSerial
version=1.0
author=Rick Kimball
maintainer=
sentence=Defines Serial4, Serial5
paragraph=This library only exists to get keyword highlighting on fat serial boards
category=Communications
url=http://www.arduino.cc/en/Reference/Serial
architectures=*
I also included an empty .c and .h file with the right name. See the attached zip file:
FatSerial.zip

Perfect!
Thank you very much. It is just a small detail, but very 'nice to have'.

+1 Not managed to get any of them working which probably explains why I'm a plumber, any working examples would be greatly appreciated :mrgreen:
