Problem in Interfacing FTP628MCL103 Thermal printer with STM32

Post by suyog44 » Wed Jan 11, 2017 10:30 am

First of all. i sincerly apologise for my english. I am begineer to STM32 MCU. I am trying to interface Fujitsu FTP629MCL103 Thermal Printer Module with STM32F100RBT6. I read the datasheet. But didn't got any clue how to do it. I started googling for it. Finally i start's search on interfacing i2c with stm32. I don't know whether i am correct or not. Help me out to solve the problem.

"The file is damaged and could not be repaired"
Can you upload a working PDF or a link to a valid file?

Did you get the "printer module" - the mechanism with flex flat connector, or the "printer" - with USB/Centronics/Serial connectors? That is the first question..

I have the module with flex flat connector only. i dont have any parellel or serial interface module. I done some research on it, flex has been interfaced with any other MCU to get USART / UART .

There is a lot of various signals, you would need a good datasheet with the protocols and commands.
The comm with MCU in the module works most probably via data_in, data_out, clk and latch signals. They are listed in the table.
Most probably it is SPI.
In case you would not find a ready library it might be a long way to go..

Did you ever browse "FTP628MCL103 Thermal printer with STM32" :?: :?:

Mind this project might be _very_ difficult when one is starting with MCUs..
