Arduino ide cant find my board.

Postby efftek » Sun Feb 26, 2017 10:48 am

I have an stm32f103 mini board -blue.

I have been using it OK for a few weeks. Got the bootloader flashed on etc. Yesterday, my spi ili9341 screen arrived so I tried it out with the graphicstest and all was well.

Then I loaded in the pi-o- scope code. I had to delete sections for the rtc to get it to compile but eventually, it built and loaded and seems to be working BUT I cant load another sketch into the board, the ide can't find it. When I plug the usb cable in, windows recognises ıt and assigns it to com7.

I have tried reflashing the bootloader using ftdi and st-link to no avail. It just loves Andy's code so much, it won't let go!

Any suggestions or is this board always going to be an oscope?

If you use the STlink flash LOADER utility, you could erase the whole flash content, then re-flash the bootloader.
After that there should be no COM port at the beginning, but flashing new code over DFU possible.

Stevestrong, I had tried flashing the bootloader, I kept getting failed to init device. Anyhow, I kept at it and eventually I managed, don't know how or why!
