WARNING Adapter board for TFT shields

Post by efftek » Wed Mar 22, 2017 9:52 pm

Guys,

EDIT

An Apology.

Unfortunately I used PB5 twice in my design so the SD card on the tft shields won't work. I have removed the files but they had been downloaded several times. PB12 to PB15 are available so I will edit the boards to use SPI2 for the SD card. If you have downloaded my files, please do the same before having them printed. Sorry guys.

END EDIT

If anyone wants to use a standard UNO form factor TFT shield with a blue pill, here are the eagle files for my design to do just that.

There are many cheap PCB fab houses in China doing 10 PCS's for $10 and I have used several. I find them all to be good but as this one

https://www.firstPCB.com/mi_odosrU

gives not only a $10 bonus for first oprders but also a $10 coupon to me when you use that link, its win win. You also get your own link to get yourself $10 coupons. Postage to UK (using TNT) works out about £15 depending on exchange rate. But the choice is yours of course.

Adapter_V1 has a lot of pins usefull for prototyping

Whereas Adapter_V2 is more specialised for my own project and has two analog in pins and 8 digital in pins, up to 6 of which can be taken up with on-board push button switches if you want to build a project with navigation buttons.

If you do make use of these, please let me know what for and how usefull they were, its always good to have feedback good and bad.

Revised designs at

https://github.com/BaartCM/STM32_UNOShield

TFT shields connedted to a blue pill using this board automatically work with the latest MCUFRIEND_kbv library courtesy of Mr. David Prentice's hard work. No need to change the example code at all.

Could you write on the silkscreen next to arduino header pins the chip pin names? (PA0, PA1...)

I should have mentioned that. The pin names are on the silkscreens top and bottom but I failed to tick those layers when creating the gerber files..

I have another web to make PCB better price than the other, I have used several times and I
are very satisfied.

www.elecrow.com

10 PCB cost 5$
the shippint cost to Spain are 7$

The files you are put in github are eagle?. The fisrt schematic doesn't work.

Can you prepare for Kicad??

Sorry Manolo, I only use eagle. I can send you gerbers if that would help.
