[POLL (Closed)]- favorite STM32F1 board for stm32duino 08/2107

Post by Rick Kimball » Wed Aug 16, 2017 3:21 pm

I know when this forum first got started most people were using the Maple Mini as their goto board. I'm wondering if that has changed and I'd like to know which board is your favorite.

[Edit]
Based on comments below, when I do the next Poll I'll add these STM32F1xx boards: [/Edit]

i'm curious so a similar poll for STM32F4 boards ?
maybe as a data point for in the future to see how it moves, which cores do people favour ?
run the set every 6 months?

i still mostly go to the maple mini since it's a bit compacter and higher quality. but i also have some bluepills & blackpills lying around to play around with :).

Rick can you update it to refer to F1 if it is only for F1 boards?
Otherwise, I would add at least the black F4 as separate board option.

Check added

I guess that is the big question. How many people are using F4 vs F1. Which leads to how many using something other than stm32duino core vs others.

I was hoping people would comment after checking "Other" and then indicate which board they are using. Then we can create a better poll figuring out which boards are the one most used here.

I could easily get a bunch of bluepill boards from taobao with 8~9 rmb(1.2 ~ 1.3 usd) for each(cheaper, smaller and way more powerful than arduino uno clones). so definitely....the bluepill wins for any geek projects, thanks to this community for the Arduino core

I voted other, but didn't see how to enter the comment. My vote is for Blue Pad

among the F1 i'm a die hard fan for MM (clone - from Baite) (the prejudice is because i simply have it)
among the F4 i agree with Ollie bluepad (stm32f407 mini) is about the most seductive (i've got a separate 'china made (possibly designed)' f405 the pins aren't properly broken out, while black stm32f407 has an oversized footprint
