Serial communication (PA9 & PA10) with stm32 bootloader

Post by magflip » Sat Nov 18, 2017 12:32 pm

Hello everyone!

I recently changed the bootloader of my generic bluepill and got to use Roger's stm32 bootloader. The sketches upload process is ok, I can save the code normally in stm32, I even tested the blink sample code and it worked normally.
However I have problems with serial communication. After installation of the new bootloader I can not perform the communication through ports PA9 and PA10.
By executing a code with the serial function and accompanying the serial monitor, I can only receive and send data when connected by USB (and this is preventing me from sending data to an LCD display).
Any additional configuration must be made or with this bootloader the function of these pins is disabled?

You should use Serial1 if you want to output to USART1 when using the Maple bootloader.
