i thought as per topic aarrrhhh data logging from engine to remote sd in boot using nrf24. fiber glass body would just make it easier.
curious if you'd try it ?

WE HAVE HOT WATER

WE HAVE RADIATORS - no we DID HAVE. New soldered water boiler connection failed under testing, drain, solder, vent, repeat ?

Ah yeah that's probably a reasonable use case for long term 'always on' logging.

we still have hot water & heating
quietly impressed with hive thermostat control, not quite so much with user interface, but it's not too bad
according to web searches, it'll be ok until first battery change.

i've got an echo dot on order, curious on i'll how to control heating "hive" from it, i suspect i'll need the plus with a zigbee hub
if not then it's an expensive intercom. :D

interesting link, will look at it
i surrendered to an echo plus
it supposedly has a zigbee hub built-in
so maybe i can eavesdrop on the network traffic
magic word was zigbee
