Arduino for STM32

I have a doubt regarding the physical positioning of the adxl345 and hmc5883L break boards.
By physical location, I mean putting the card with the sensor on a horizontal plane, or I can mount it vertically.
Is it enough to swap the values of the x, y, and z axes in relation to what is printed on the board?

Have you the HMC5883L working under Arduino IDE on a STM32 card?, if so, could you share the code with me? I'm having a large amount of problems to connect the accelerometer board, thanks, please help me and once working I'll try to answer your question
