ST-link clone by baite

Postby denis » Mon Aug 29, 2016 8:58 pm

A model of ST-link clone is done by baite: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/ST-Link- ... 84886.html at price of $2.57.
:D based on a stm32f103c8t6 chip.
:D sw and jtag connections.
:( Pins names are not labeled on boxe. You can buy a special cable for blue pill: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/STM8-STM ... 07499.html
:( Only one led (st-link has 2 leds).
:?: Voltage regulator is bigger than other clones (better?).

5 pads are on the bottom allowing to flash the stm32f103c8t6 (gnd,5V,boot0,TX,RX). I flash one with a black magic probe firmware (need some hacks) and it is working.

You can probably flash it with the bootloader and then upload as if its BluePill

Its certainly a nice way to get a STM32F103 as a dongle device, as I suspect you can use 7 of the pins as GPIO or possibly ACD etc.

And I suppose if you wanted to, you could also use the SWD and SWCLK pads on the back for additional GPIO

Thats strange

Its free shipping for me in Australia.

I just ordered 2 of them.

Perhaps you can ask the vendor why shipping is so expensive

each of them x2, free shipping to uk
more than 2 per order ramps the postage in & up.

I have one of them. I have also the most common clone which however was not able to flash an STM8. The Baite clone instead works well.

Special cable has free shopping to Italy, I got one too.

I believe that you have chosen a different shipping.

I ordered 2 x as well, but didnt pay any shipping

I have seen this before where you have to do multiple orders of 2 x, because if you exceed some number (perhaps because of the weight) you get charged a lot for postage

I'm not sure why you need a special cable, unless you like labels

Its far cheaper to buy this, and you get loads more spare for other things

The dupont wires is tend to use for other things and after that it's hard to remember wich pin
for what :)
There is a probability that the special cable won't be used for other things.
And the marking printed on it is very useful.
Thanks to Denis, I will buy a couple. :)

I already have loads of those dupont cables, so its pointless buying some special ones just because the pins are labelled.

There is nothing difficult to make DIY "special cable", anyway...
Well it is a question of personal preferences that it is better to spend: time or money.
And I don't know that it is more important for a hobby, honestly. :D
