It didn't help. I managed to compile the bootloader with the changed configure.h, but everything is the same.

Review the process:
1. confirm the original Maple boot loader works fine
2. recompile the "maple_rev5_boot20.bin" applying PR #20
3. upload the "maple_rev5_boot20.bin" using either a ST-LINK or the standard ST bootloader on USART1 (via USB-to-Serial adapter)
4. enable perpetual boot loader mode (you still don't have a sketch installed at 0x08002000 which provides you the Maple USBSerial)
5. try uploading a sketch via Maple bootloader upload method

IMPORTANT: double/tripe-check each step for errors (even silly things), don't assume anything already checked
