is there anything more available, i tried my usual Serial/Serial1 and SerialUSB triplets of print("1\t"), println(millis()) and flush()

did notice that ports in the menu was empty, hence the query:-)

What do you mean ?
I'm running tons of different code, such I2C, SdFat, OLED, Networking, etc. on my STM32F4Stamp and Netduino2Plus.
If you are not able to even use the SerialUSB, you must have a setup issue ...

apols i omitted details:-i7/4gb laptop using jessie 8.x with a stm32f407 discovery
i suspect the no port or serialusb is down to a 'power' only micro usb cable. i noticed a blue pill wasn't giving me a
serial device, changed cable and it did. not yet applied it the 407
beautifully made cable though:)

i will have another go once i've figured out programming a board with spl, just torturing myself!
