anyone know if this lcd is ili9341 ?

Post by zmemw16 » Tue Aug 29, 2017 2:37 pm

this is the beastie from aliexpress keli store
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/623118 ... ae2bDGPvlj

this is the beastie
https://www.aliexpress.com/item-img/Fre ... ae2bDGPvlj

it's also described as having 36pins, nope it's a 34 way
just worked through the printout of the connector again :) and pin/physically wise it matches up with Black ZGT board.

Even if it is not an ili9341, David will bring it to live for sure.

The first link seems to be a general storefront.
The second link is to a display with 34-way header.

I am not aware of any Shield or Adapter that matches the 34-way header. It looks like 8080-16 interface for a 3.3V device.
With Touch and SD, this will use up the pins on a BluePill.

If you can find a board with a matching socket and sufficient GPIO, you have won a coconut. Do you have a link for your "Black 7GT" board?

Hey-ho. People on this forum enjoy hand-wiring multiple pins. At least you don't need to worry about level-shifting the logic.
The RD pin is accessible. So you can read the ID. And drive the TFT controller as intended.
I don't like guesswork.

David.

coconuts galore then, as in the linux hardware world, wait and it'll work; same has (almost :) ) occurred with these displays, about 18months actually. lot cheaper, even now compared with the 'compatible display' linked to in the store blurb :D
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/High-Qu ... 0.0.EfpuKB

i extracted the display and store links from my aliexpress order list for your convenience :)
those displays are a physical and electrical fit for what I call a Devils Cross Black F407 board.
i had thought that it was conventionally wired i.e. straight out, seems i2c1 is remapped, also i suspect one or more of the spi;s. the board has pads for eeprom and spi flash on the rear.
i've attached the schematic, also the main connector pinouts.

there a lot of pins on the stm32's labelled vdd or gnd.
would all the vdd be connected in common and to 'a' substrate(?)
similarly for the gnd.
would they handle specific parts or peripherals, thinking of the power saving by being switched?
