Bricked STM32F411CE Black Pill

Hello,
This morning while programing a STM32F411CE with IDE2 Rc5 i got the Upload Failed msg.
Went to STM32 Cube Programmer to reset zero flash using Hold Down Reset -> Connect and no way will the chip connect.
After much trail and error I can only connect with Hot Plug while holding reset.
Tried all the normal register/flash reset etc. but still can't connect to chip conventionally.
Error I get indicates the flash is protected but protection bits are not set.
Is it bricked/worn out or are there any more tricks i can try please?
Chip is only few months old and maybe been flashed absolute max 100 times or so.
