[SOLVED] NUCLEO_L053R8 compiles but I can't upload

Post by kylix » Tue Jul 11, 2017 5:26 pm

Hello all!

I installed the STM32 Cores through the Boards Manager.
The sketch compiles OK but it fails uploading to the board:

"Archiving built core (caching) in: C:\Users\Kylix\AppData\Local\Temp\arduino_cache_506509\core\core_STM32_stm32_Nucleo_64_Nucleo_64_board_NUCLEO_L053R8,upload_method_MassStorageMethod_02e8f0d8851ad13ea5b5da279feb2acf.a
Sketch uses 23704 bytes (36%) of program storage space. Maximum is 65536 bytes.
Global variables use 3280 bytes (40%) of dynamic memory, leaving 4912 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 8192 bytes.
Non vi sono istanze disponibili.

NODE_L053R8 not found. Please ensure the device is correctly connected"

The board is an STM32L053R8 and the upload method is "Mass Storage". Is there any other step that I'm missing?

Thanks!

You probably have an old nucleo board? Does it show up as NUCLEO? If so this thread talks about the solution that is in place for the F030R8 nucleo

https://github.com/stm32duino/Arduino_Tools/issues/6

More info in the posts starting about here... Follow the thread about MASS STORAGE names

Thanks @Rick for your support ;)

FYI: I will release new version of the core and tools this week under the BoardsManager
