MicroSD card socket

Post by Pito » Wed Jan 11, 2017 10:57 am

FYI - this socket works fine with SPI 36MHz. I got a bunch (I forgot the actual seller). On the pcb 4x 10k pullups and 2 decoupling caps. It works with MM here fine. Fits solderless breadboard pitch.

I HIGLY RECOMMEND to solder the two pads the metal cover is fit to the pcb with a good blob of tin :)
Otherwise it works ok with MM, BP, BlueZEX.

X1 ...Yes very good for the price, I ordered 3 and received 6, it did take ages to arrive from a different vendor.
I've been plagued with reliability problems from using the SD card slot on the back of a generic 2.8" TFT screen and SDfat Beta, it's been rock solid using these, if I was being picky there's no noticeable click to hold the microSD card, you kind of jam it in there.
