which library can be use for TFT_320QVT

Postby dev » Mon Feb 20, 2017 4:37 pm

Hi,
This is first time i will be doing project on arduino.(I was using PIC controller's before).
I have board which is up and running.
I was searching for libraries for TFT_320QVT tft display. i searched over the forum, but i got confused.
SSD1289 IC driver is for tft control.
This lcd has 40 pins.

Please post a link to or a picture from the display module.

Also, before doing anything, you have to figure out for sure the driver chip.
If it is a parallel module, this test sketch should be used: https://github.com/prenticedavid/MCUFRI ... eadreg.ino

Well, it looks like this is a 16 bit parallel module.
You need 20 GPIOs to drive this board (16 bit data bus + control pins).

yes, its true. And may be more pins(+4) if i decided to use SD Card for images.

btw, which library will support for this tft with maple mini.

All libraries I know support either 8 bit only or SPI.
So 16 bit data bus is not used yet, as far as I know.

Btw, where did you get this module from? Display size and resolution?

scrolling to almost the bottom has this text

Code: Select all

3.2" inch TFT LCD module with touch screen controller and a SD card cage. It is suitable for embedded systems which require display high quality colorful image or video with interactive control and storage purpose.
ILI9341 touch panel controller.
3.3v voltage regulator.
PCB adapter for lcd.
One Standard SD card socket.
Support 16 bit RGB565 format , can connect any 16 bit data bus.
2x20 Pin 2.54mm double row pin header interface for connecting MCU.
Can be driven by 8051 / AVR / PIC and other low power controllers.
Display content: 240RGB x 320 Dots.
Resolution: 240 x 320 Dots.
Screen: 262K Colors.

this is pretty much far eastern english applied to documentation :D
english version is approximately
the ILI9341 is a display controller and the usual touch device is xpt2046 or similar, data - any 16 bit data bus

if you pull an ILI9341 datasheet, in there will be IM[0..3] or similar and a table listing the modes, so its also probably 6800 or 8080 control signals, RD, WR, RS, ??? further compounded by the data format type.
.
unfortunately they're already set (unless you do some digging in the display)
i suspect it will be preset to 16 bit RGB565 format

sdcard will be spi, xpt2046 as well probably, x_cs, x_sck, x_miso, x_mosi where x is SD or T, touch usually has a T_INT or T_IRQ as well.
also spi speed capability may well differ.

good news - copious versions for ILI9341 on github
bad news - usually written using SPL or HAL, also usually using Keil uvision v4 or v5 format files.
good news - free 'size limited' Keil may well allow you to at least read the files

Take the ILI9341 lib from the repo and adapt it to 16 bit, it should go easily.

Thanks.
I will give that try.
